New version of our Android App ‹ Trovit

We’re proud to announce we’ve just launched a new version of the Trovit Android App, with an improved interface, list view and fixes for a couple bugs in the previous version.

It’s available for all 27 of the Trovit countries, and it allows you to search for properties that are close to your current position. Say you find yourself in a new, attractive neighbourhood. You can fire up the Trovit app and see which properties are available for sale and for rent.

A peek at searches around the globe

Every day, people come to Google Search to ask questions. Through Google, questions become answers, and answers lead to the next set of questions. These people come from around the world and all walks of life, speaking hundreds of different languages, typing in search queries every single day. Today we’re sharing the Search Globe, a new visual display representing one day of Google searches around the world—visualizing the curiosity of people around the globe.

This visualization was developed and designed by the Google Data Arts Team using WebGL, a new technology for modern browsers that uses your computer’s hardware to generate fast, 3D graphics. As a result, you need a WebGL-enabled browser, like Google Chrome, to see the Globe. You can learn more about the technology behind the Globe on the Google Code Blog.

Your Web, Half a Second Sooner - The official Google Code blog

At Google we’re constantly trying to make the web faster — not just our corner of it, but the whole thing. Over the past few days we’ve been rolling out a new and improved version of show_ads.js, the piece of JavaScript used by more than two million publishers to put AdSense advertisements on their web pages. The new show_ads is small and fast, built so that your browser can turn its attention back to its main task — working on the rest of the web page — as soon as possible. This change is now making billions of web pages every day load faster by half a second or more...
